Personal details
Felix Studt studied Chemistry at the Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel. He also earned his PhD in Kiel at the Institute of Inorganic Chemistry in the group of Felix Tuczek. Afterwards he joined the group of Jens Nørskov at the Technical University of Denmark as a postdoctoral fellow. In 2010 he became a staff scientist and group leader at the SUNCAT Center for Surface Science and Catalysis at the SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory/Stanford University. In 2016 Felix Studt was appointed as a Professor at KIT and is affiliated with the Institute for Chemical Technology and Polymer Chemistry as well as the Institute of Catalysis Research and Technology. His scientific research includes, among others: theory guided materials discovery, synthesis gas conversion, CO2 reduction, methanol to olefin processes, routes from biomass to chemicals and electrochemical processes.
